II. Position Summary
Responsible for underwriting, due diligence, portfolio
analysis and compliance review projects.
III. Primary Duties
-
Review mortgage credit packages to determine if
applicable guidelines were followed in verifying and calculating borrower
income, credit worthiness, property value and clear title.

Review regulatory compliance related documents to
ensure conformity with federal, state and local regulations.

Recalculate debt-to-income ratios to ensure program
parameters are met.

Review and analyze credit report and other
documentation for mortgage and other credit history.

Review Appraisal forms and related documents to
determine collateral meets acceptable investor standards.

Review title documents.
-
Review disclosures and closing documents including:
loan product parameters, as expressed on notes and riders, TIL disclosures and
components. HUD-1 Settlement Statement including typical finance and
non-finance related fees.

Perform duties and maintain regular communications with
Transaction Manager concerning assigned project.

Troubleshoot problems with Quality Control Manager and
Transaction Manager assigned to manage the job.

Qualifications/Required Skills
Skills

Knowledge of general underwriting practices and
procedures.

Ability to adapt to a quick changing environment.

Exhibit a strong work ethic and commitment to the
achieving required results.
Experience
4 years
residential mortgage underwriting experience.
2 years underwriting alternative
product loans.
Education
Associates Degree preferred.
Equipment or Technology
Requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft
Office and Windows Applications.
Ability to quickly learn computer
software.
